Construction Laborer
J Pratt Construction is looking for several construction laborers to add to our growing team. Be part of a company who does a wide variety of work including road/sidewalk construction, box culverts, retaining walls, drainage, concrete flat work, grading and much more. The possibilities are endless as we provide a dynamic skillset with projects ranging from $5,000 to $4 million.
Typical responsibilities would include the following:
- Follow all safety rules
- Frequently use hand tools and various equipment such as shovels, rakes, concrete saws, plate compactors, etc.
- Perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds
- Typical work includes grading, working on a pipe crew, concrete work, paving and much more
- Work with a crew of 1-10 people daily
- Keep the job site and job trailer clean and safe
Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class C License and reliable transportation. Class A or B is a plus
- Minimum 1-3 years of construction experience
- High School Diploma
- Positive attitude and team player
- Self-motivated
- Ability to take direction and perform tasks alongside others
- Good physical condition and stamina
- General knowledge of how to use basic construction tools and a tape measure
